One privacy switch may not control every kind of sharing. Profile visibility, surname display, listening activity and access granted to another service are separate decisions. This guide helps you review those distinctions in MoodTrue.

Separate your profile from activity

A visible profile does not mean you want to share every song. Review account visibility and the option to hide Spotify activity separately. Decide whether you want friends to find you, see your activity or both.

Check the result in a signed-out browser. What you see may differ from a visitor's view. Inspect any profile link you have shared as well.

Surname display is a separate choice

Hiding your surname is not deleting your account or changing your username. MoodTrue uses this preference in relevant name displays, including game leaderboards. If you typed your surname into a username or biography, edit it separately.

A setting can control system-generated text without removing information you wrote in a post or placed inside a photograph.

Review connection permissions

Connecting Spotify grants the access described on its permission screen. Read that screen before approving. Disconnect Spotify in MoodTrue settings and independently review application access in Spotify.

Disconnecting and deleting previously stored information are different operations. For historical data or account requests, consult the privacy policy and contact support. Explain which information you want removed or which access you want stopped.

Keep cookie choices separate

Cookies support login and language preferences. Analytics and advertising involve different purposes. Your advertising choice does not determine whether your profile is public.

On pages serving Google ads, review the available privacy choices. Clearing cookies may cause preferences to be requested again. See the cookie policy for details.

Run a short privacy check

  1. Review your username and biography.
  2. Check visibility, surname and activity separately.
  3. Remove connections you no longer use.
  4. Open a profile link while signed out.
  5. Contact support about anything unclear.
